Building a pathway to homeownership for residents in Taos County

Taos Housing Partnership submitted Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws to the New Mexico Secretary of States office in August. While awaiting approval, the formal 501 (c) 3 Application to the IRS is pending. In the interim, Taos Housing Partnership has secured a Fiscal Sponsorship with New Mexico Community Trust.  As a Fiscal Sponsor, NMCT is the designated nonprofit organization that provides fiduciary, legal and financial management of THP on a short-term contract.

By using a Fiscal Sponsor, Taos Housing Partnership is afforded the benefit of charitable gifts and foundation grants, while awaiting the IRS determination letter. Charitable gifts made to a Fiscal Sponsor have the same tax contribution benefits to the donor.
